Junior Golf Academy
Southern Golf Club is extremely proud that we are able to offer a junior membership pathway that is fun, guarantees improvement and best of all is free of charge to any junior aged 12 & under.
Twice a year (April & October) we have a junior member intake, juniors must be nominated by a current member of the Club to be eligible for our complimentary membership offer
Our membership has two levels.
Junior Cadet Program
Beginner Level – Ages 6-14
This program provides a fun introduction to the game of golf while interacting with other junior golfers of a similar age and ability.
Program runs:
Sundays 9:00am -9:45am (during school terms)
&
Sundays 9:45am – 10:30am (during school terms)

Juniors aged 13 & over applying for the Cadet Membership, an annual fee of $500.00 applies.
Southern Junior Membership
Advanced Level – Ages 12-17
This program is designed to take the next step in junior development, with a focus on technique, skills, course management and preparing to play at club competition level.
Juniors MUST have obtained a GA HCP to be part of this program.
Program runs:
Thursdays 4:15pm -5:15pm (during school terms).
Junior Membership Inclusions
Range Balls
One of the many benefits of our junior membership is the complimentary range balls offered to juniors. A big part of improvement is practice.
Playing Golf
Juniors that have been introduced into the Cadet Program are able to play golf after 3:30pm under parental supervision (parent must be a member). Once a junior graduates from the Cadet Program they will be upgraded to Junior Membership, once these juniors have obtained a handicap they will be eligible to play in club competitions.
