CAMERON PERCY

Growing up in the Gippsland town of Warragul, Cameron returned to the city to chase his dreams of becoming a professional golfer and called Southern home during his teenage years. Cameron forged a successful amateur career which included multiple state and national titles, was part of the Victorian State team and his best result “as an amateur” came in the 1996 Victorian Amateur Championship at Victoria Golf Club, beating Geoff Ogilvy to win the title. Cameron then went on to win back-to-back Tasmanian Opens in 1997 and 1998.

Cameron turned professional in 1998 and played nationally for several years before heading over to America and joining the secondary tour in 2005. Despite some challenges early in his career, Cameron has gone on to play nearly 400 events between the PGA Tour and the secondary tour and won the 2014 Price Cutter Charity Championship on the then Buy.com secondary tour.

Cameron has played in several Major Championships and reached a world high ranking of 105 in 2014. Cameron will join the prestigious PGA Champions Tour in 2024 after winning his way onto it via the Qualifying School which he won by 5 shots.
